The Carmelite NGO presents the Curriculum on Laudato Si', which teaches high school students around the world the wisdom of Pope Francis' earth-care Encyclical. The Curriculum is for grades 9-12, with an adult Study Guide for college classes and study groups.
Using Pope Francis’ Laudato Si', this curriculum outlines a healthy path to human fulfillment by provoking and cultivating in ourselves, and especially in our youth, a way of living in greater harmony with one another and the Earth. An interdisciplinary secondary school curriculum, it offers a progressive and experiential learning design, so that the students, guided by the environmental sciences, the Word of God, and the richness of the Carmelite spirituality, will be able to integrate into their lives a comprehensive ecological awareness of responsible care of the earth, unique home for everyone.
It is available on Carmelite NGO's Laudato Si' for All website in English and in Spanish.
The curriculum is approved by Archbishop Gregory Aymond of New Orleans and by Fr. Raul Maraví, O.Carm., General Councillor of the Carmelite Order representing the Americas and President of the International Commission of Carmelite Schools and Youth.
