We are in the midst of two interconnected global crises: the Covid-19 pandemic and climate change. Both have enormous economic, social, and health consequences, especially on the world’s most vulnerable populations.
This webinar explores:
1) How we recover from the immediate Covid-19 pandemic in a manner that is faithful, sustainable, and just.
2) The pandemic’s far-reaching impacts and how the U.S. Catholic Church is responding to its enormous economic and social impacts as we also deal with climate change. We especially focus on the immediate human and environmental needs that U.S. disaster and aid agencies are seeing on the ground and how they are helping.
3) The principles, efforts and strategies that U.S. Catholic agencies such as Catholic Relief Services, Catholic Charities USA, and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops are advocating and promoting for a sustainable long-term recovery for the future.
