The Holy Name of Jesus (Redlands, CA) was able to partner with the Redlands Conservancy for local land and habitat restoration, beginning as a weekly activity, a Lenten offering, in February and March 2021. Several parishioners (not just C4C members), helped during that time, and the volunteers at the Conservancy provided leadership, education, friendship and cookies. ;)
Some parishioners wanted to continue, so we are! In April, our efforts can be described as thanksgiving offerings for Easter, and a Earth Day contributions. For Earth Day, we planted 56 native flower plants (see the green cones), which will help attract insects, birds, and other animals. In this way, we hope to help restore our Common Home.
Happy Earth Day!
